Nate Bollinger added to men’s basketball staff

HIGH POINT, N.C. – High Point University men's basketball head Scott Cherry has announced the hiring of Nate Bollinger as the program's director of player development.

Bollinger comes to HPU from York College in Pennsylvania, where he served as an assistant coach in 2014 and 2015.

"I am very excited to add Nate to our coaching staff," Cherry said. "Everyone I talked to in the interview process raved about his work ethic and ability to get along with people. Nate will be an asset to our program in developing our players as we make a run at a fourth Big South title."

At York, Bollinger served as the program's recruiting coordinator while managing camps, operations, player development and serving as the staff's lead opponent scout.

Bollinger played his college basketball at Millersville University, where he served as team captain as a senior while leading the Marauders in assists. He earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from the university in 2014.

About the Panthers:
High Point University men's basketball team is coming off a record-breaking 2014-15 season that saw the Panthers set new Div. I program records for wins (23), Big South wins (13), road wins (9) and Big South road wins (6). HPU advanced to the postseason for the third-straight year and earned its first ever postseason win with a victory over UMES in the CIT. HPU is the winningest Big South program over the past three years and is one of just six schools nationally to have won a regular season conference title in each of the past three campaigns (Gonzaga, Kansas, Davidson, Harvard, Stephen F. Austin).
