The High Point University men's track & field team finished competition at the UNC Invitational Saturday.
Patrick Crawford ran a PR in the mile and
Justin Doehr finished a solid weekend with a personal best in the 200-meter.
“Patrick ran a very tactical mile,” said head coach
Mike Esposito. “It is shorter race for him but he did a great job with his race strategy. Doehr has had a great indoor season so far and continues to have good results at meets.
Tristan Faure cemented his leg of the 4x400 today and other guys showed they are capable of being part of that relay at the Big South Championship.”
Crawford ran a personal-best 4:22.41 in the mile on Saturday. He was the second collegiate finisher, third overall, behind UNC's Mike Jacobs. Freshman
Michael Colven also ran the mile. He placed 12th in 4:37.26.
In the 200-meter, Doehr collected a PR with a time of 22.95. He won his heat and finished fourth overall, edging out UNC's Chris Graves who finished in 22.96.
Sebastien Bonnot placed 11th in 23:78.
Bonnot, Colven, Faure and
Evan Gingrich combined for a second place finish in the 4x400 relay. They ran a 3:27.25.
