The High Point University Cheerleaders are a co-ed squad comprised of approximately 21 members. The squad cheers at all men's and women's home basketball games and competes regionally and nationally. Members also take part in numerous community service activities throughout the year. In addition, members of the cheerleading squad travel with the men's and women's basketball teams to the Big South Tournament, as well as any additional postseason tournaments and competitions. Squad members practice twice weekly, strength train twice weekly and attend tumbling sessions from September through the end of basketball and competition seasons.
Head coach
Alicia Balado joined HPU in 2010 and brings over 20 years of competitive cheerleading experience. She was an NCA All-America selection as a cheerleader, and has coached elite cheerleaders of all levels.

JUNIOR CHEERLEADERS
High Point University's junior cheerleader program is open to daughters or granddaughters of Panther Club from 6-12 years old. Interested junior cheerleaders may sign up on Wednesday, Oct. 12th and 14th, from 6-8 p.m. at the Millis Center.
