HIGH POINT, N.C.—The No. 17/19 High Point University women's lacrosse team concludes the regular season Thursday night (April 26) at Hofstra. First draw at Shuart Stadium in Hempstead, N.Y., is scheduled for 7 p.m.
 
Quick Hitters
• High Point is 14-2 on the season and has won 13 games in a row after defeating Longwood, 22-2, Saturday (April 21) in Farmville, Va. Junior Maggie Williams had six points with two goals and four assists, while sophomore Ashley Britton added four goals and an assist.
 
• Senior Brooke Stevens leads the team with 76 points on 31 goals and a team-high 45 assists, which is one shy of the school's single-season record of 46, held by Mackenzie Carroll (2014). Her 2.81 assists per game rank third nationally. 
 
• Senior Erica Perrotta is second on the team with 65 points, 42 goals and 23 assists. She leads the team with a single-season school-record 37 caused turnovers, is first with 34 ground balls and is fourth on the team with 39 draw controls.
 
• Freshman Abby Hormes leads the Panthers with 48 goals, which is tied for the fourth-most in HPU single-season history. After a school-record 13 draw controls against Winthrop and nine more against Longwood, junior Samantha Herman leads the team with a single-season school record 63 draw controls.
 
• The Panthers rank third in the nation in both scoring (16.75 goals per game) and scoring defense (8.19) and has the second-best scoring margin (+8.56). High Point has the best free position percentage in the country at 58.0 percent. HPU's 13 game-winning streak is tied for the third-longest in the nation.
 
On the Pride (8-8)
Hofstra is 8-8 on the season after dropping its last two games to No. 4 James Madison (15-10) and No. 8 Towson (15-11). Alyssa Parrella leads the Pride with 76 points on 53 goals and 23 assists. Alexa Mattera has 46 goals and six assists 
 
All-Time Series with Hofstra
This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
 
Next Up
The Panthers will host the Big South Tournament semifinals on Friday, May 4. HPU will play the winner of Radford and Campbell at 4 p.m. at Vert Stadium. The final is scheduled for Sunday, May 6 at noon on ESPN3.
