HIGH POINT, N.C. – Jon Teich has joined the High Point University Athletic Department as the Assistant Director of Development, it was announced on Wednesday.
Teich comes to HPU from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he served as an athletic administration graduate assistant for the past two years. During his time in Chapel Hill he also received his masters degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a concentration in Sport Administration.

At UNC, Teich conducted research on the Carolina Athletics Strategic Plan and development of new revenue streams for the department. He also coordinated the planning and execution of the Academic All Star program, which rewards students for outstanding accomplishments by exposing them to UNC and its Athletic Department. Likewise, Teich served as the liaison between Sport Administration graduate program and the UNC Athletic Department.
Along with his experience as a GA at UNC, he also served in the ticket office where he provided customer service and maintained complimentary ticket records to ensure compliance.
Prior to his time at UNC, Teich served as an intern for NBC Universal as an intern for the Olympics in Sochi, Russia. At the Olympics he provided support to speed skating broadcasters while also assisting with set-up and teardown of venue sites.
Teich earned his bachelors in Sports Communication from Bradley University in May 2014. During his time in Peoria, Ill. he worked in the sports information office updating statistics and prepared press box and green room for men's and women's basketball.
