The High Point University women's golf team is in 17th place with a combined team-score of 658 after the second round of the JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational on Monday at the Eagle Landing Golf Club in Orange Park, Fla. Freshmen
Audra McShane and
Danielle Lamy each shot 81 in the second round for HPU.
McShane leads the Panthers through two rounds with a score of 160, leaving her in a tie for 64th. Freshman
Kristina Wagner followed her opening-round 84 with an 82 in the second, giving her a two-round score of 166 and placing her in a tie for 83rd, along with Lamy. Freshman
Jessica Neese ended the second day in 86th with a 36-hole score of 167 (82-85), one stroke behind Wagner and Lamy. Senior
Lisa Chandler shot 88 in the second round to finish the day in a tie for 92nd with a two-round score of 172.
Central Arkansas maintained its hold on first place with a two-round team score of 596. South Florida remained in second with a combined team score of 599, while Illinois recorded the low score of the second round with a 294 to jump into third with a two-day score of 602. Florida Gulf Coast finished in fourth with a combined score of 607 and Stetson rounded out the top five with a two-day score of 609.
The Illini's Hailey Koschmann turned in the low round for a second-straight day, shooting 70 in the round to give her a two-day score of 139. She leads by five over Chattanooga's Emma Da Groot who is currently in second with a 36-hole score of 144.
The Panthers return to the Eagle Landing Golf Club tomorrow for the third and final round of the JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational. The first tee-times are scheduled for 8 a.m.
