High Point University adds Micklos as Director of Compliance

Jared Micklos
High Point University has named Jared Micklos Director of Compliance, Athletic Director Craig Keilitz announced on Wednesday. Micklos joins HPU after six seasons coaching college soccer, including the last three at the University of Cincinnati.

"We are thrilled to add Jared to our staff, particularly because of his coaching background," said Keilitz. "In addition to his administrative experience from the coaching side, Jared will really understand how to assist our staff in an effective way and help our coaches through the compliance process."

At Cincinnati, Micklos assisted in all aspects of the men's soccer program and helped lead the team to two consecutive appearances in the Big East Tournament. He was the team's compliance liaison and was responsible for all documentation regarding the team, recruiting and the Cincinnati Soccer Academy. On the field, he assisted with training and game preparation with a focus on goalkeeper development. He was also in charge of team travel and equipment and assisted in alumni relations.

"I would like to thank Craig Keilitz for the opportunity to lead the compliance office at High Point University," said Micklos. "The passion and energy of the coaches and athletic department staff are extraordinary. I look forward to helping our student-athletes achieve their academic and athletic goals."

Prior to Cincinnati, Micklos was assistant coach and recruiting coordinator of the men's soccer team at the University of Rochester in New York for three seasons. His efforts in game-day strategy, training, opponent scouting and video analysis helped lead the team to its first NCAA Tournament win since 1986. The team went 39-9-7 in three seasons and earned UAA Coaching Staff of the Year honors in 2006 while Micklos was on the coaching staff.

Micklos earned his master's degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Rochester. As an undergraduate, Micklos earned his bachelor's degree in Business Management and International Studies from Indiana University. He walked on to the IU varsity football team as a place kicker his freshman year.
