The men's and women's basketball office suite in the Millis Center is undergoing a major upgrade this summer thanks to a $120,000 renovation funded by the High Point University Panther Club. The project will make it a first-class area for basketball coaches and student-athletes.

Head coach Marty Beall announced the addition of defender
Meghan Krasnow (Raleigh, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) to the High Point University women’s soccer team on Wednesday. Krasnow, a redshirt-freshman defender, comes to High Point after spending last season at the University of Louisville.

The Big South Conference office recently announced the list of 2009-10 Presidential Honor Roll recipients, with 116 High Point University student-athletes receiving the designation. HPU finished second overall with 57.4 percent of its student-athletes honored.

When the High Point University men's soccer team reports to preseason training camp on Aug. 12, the team will be welcomed into a renovated locker room and lounge in the Steele Sports Center. The project puts HPU's soccer facilities among the best in the NCAA, and it was made possible by a $50,000 anonymous donation.

Incoming freshmen Cheyanne Parker and Carter Williams of the High Point University women’s basketball team each finished their prep careers by taking part in their state all-star games. Parker played in the North Carolina East-West Game while Williams played in the Virginia High School Coaches Association All-Star Game.
