Sean Wilson of the High Point University baseball team was named as a member of the 2012 Big South All-Academic team the conference announced on Monday.
Wilson, a business major, hit .293 during the regular season with a team-high 43 runs scored. The outfielder is seventh in the Big South with 15 stolen bases and 10th in runs scored. He has a .418 on-base percentage with 26 walks and has been hit by a pitch 14 times. He has reached base in the last 33 games and has 13 multi-hit games this season.
High Point earned the seven-seed in the Big South Conference Tournament and will face No. 2 Campbell on Tuesday in the final game of the day. The Panthers finished the regular season with a 26-29 record and a 11-13 mark in league games.
