The High Point University volleyball team has announced the 2010 spring schedule which includes a home tournament on April 17th at the Millis Center. Play will begin at 9 a.m. and it will be open to the public.

“This is the time of year that we will be able to see how hard we have worked on our individual skills,” said head coach Jason Oliver. “The team has been very focused on improving individually to make us better as a team. It will be fun to play against some great competition and see just how far we have come.”

The Panthers will play in three tournaments on the road, beginning March 27 at UNC Wilmington. The Seahawks will host High Point, UNC Pembroke, NC State, North Carolina Central and Coastal Carolina in the tournament.

On April 3, HPU will take part in a tournament at Duke and the team will head to Wake Forest on April 10.

High Point will host the final tournament of the spring season on April 17 at 9 a.m. in the Millis Center. Campbell, Catawba, Davidson, Elon, NC State, Radford and Wingate will take part in the tournament. The tournament is open to the public and free of admission.

High Point completed the 2009 season with a 17-17 record, ending the season with a 2-3 loss in the quarterfinals of the Big South tournament to eventual champion Coastal Carolina.
