Drew Peeler (Hattiesburg, Miss./Presbyterian Christian) and
Ben Gjebre (Greensburg, Pa./Greater Latrobe Senior) have both signed letter of intent to join HPU in the fall.

Hogan Nance (Hilton Head, S.C./Walter Williams ) of the High Point University men’s golf team competed in the US Amateur Public Links Championship in Greensboro, N.C., finishing in a tie for 103rd with a 10-over 152. Nance stood in a tie for 29th place with a 72 on the first day before shooting a nine-over 80 on day two.

DJ Dougherty fired a career-best 69 in the first round of the 2010 Big South Men’s Golf Championship to finish tied for third after day one in Ninety-Six S.C., on Monday. The Panthers have a combined team score of 297 and sit in third, 11 strokes behind day one leader Coastal Carolina.
