Jamie Serber has joined the High Point University baseball coaching staff, head coach
Craig Cozart announced Monday. Serber will be the student assistant coach for the 2011 season, after completing his eligibility last spring.

Head coach Craig Cozart has announced three more student-athletes that will join the 2010-11 High Point University baseball team. Freshman John Maloney and transfers Ryan Retz and Sean Wilson have all joined the Panthers for the 2011 season.
Zach Haile and
Scott Glover were both named to summer league All-Star teams and are two of 11 High Point University baseball players who are playing in collegiate summer leagues.
Former HPU outfielder Nate Roberts made his professional debut over the weekend with the Elizabethton Twins of the Appalachian League. Roberts was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the fifth round of the 2010 MLB draft and was assigned to the Elizabethton Twins, a rookie league affiliate in Elizabethton, Tenn.
Former High Point University baseball player Otis Foster will be a member of the 2010 Class of the Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame. The High Point native rewrote the HPU record books before he was selected in the first round of the 1975 Major League Baseball Draft by the Boston Red Sox.
